Ready Set Go - Equity Capital Raising Participants Graduate

Last month the NSW Minister for Small Business, the Hon Steven Whan MP, presented 6 graduates of the Stepping up – Advanced Equity Capital Raising program with certificates of completion.

The Stepping Up - Advanced Equity Capital Raising program was delivered by Alchemy and has been supported by the NSW State Government with the aim of assisting businesses in NSW to attract investment capital.

The six companies that completed the program are:
• HomeSource Ltd www.assob.com.au/hms
• HRworkbench (International) Ltd www.assob.com.au/hrw
• Simply Gifts Ltd www.assob.com.au/sgl
• Portland Marketing (International) Ltd www.assob.com.au/pmi
• The Wedderspoon Group Ltd www.assob.com.au/wed
• Biodental Remin Ltd www.assob.com.au/bdr

“8 companies began the program and 6 companies will be graduating from the rigorous preparation process. The value for the government is that the process builds better companies, which have the potential to realise their national and international goals, without taking on excessive levels of debt,” says Dan Liszka, Managing Director of Alchemy.

The program was made available to businesses throughout NSW. Alchemy has worked with the state government to deliver the Stepping Up program and provided 440 hours of mentoring over the past 4 months to help shortlisted companies structure a business and capital raising offer.

“Our company HomeSource has a strong, finance industry board and we chose to pursue the Stepping Up program through the ASSOB platform to position HomeSource for rapid growth.  We have already met raised Round 1 – which is fantastic,“ says Pia Vogel, Managing Director of HomeSource, a company which opened its offer to the company’s networks mid-June.
